The Role of Medical Records in Disease Management
| All doctors and staff must have at least a basic understanding of the rules to insure that an office benefits from effective medical records, good intra- and interoffice communications, excellent patient outcomes, accurate coding and appropriate reimbursement for services | ||
| This course will be useful to all eye care personnel. Even doctors who turn most coding and billing issues over to their staff will benefit from reminders about how their medical records can be better and about how their income can be enhanced through more thorough record keeping and more accurate choice of codes. Large clinics may have some staff who are not directly involved with medical records or patient care, yet the course will help them understand what others in the office are concerned about…They may be the ones that notice that a chart is missing information, call it to someone’s attention and help the clinic correct a potentially serious error. |
