PMI has been helping those in the eye care industry for nearly 20 years, focusing on the challenges relative to managing eye conditions and getting along with patients and insurers. During the past ten years, PMI consultants have presented well over 300 seminars in all fifty states, for groups as small as ten and as large as 1,200. PMI has also provided onsite consulting to over 150 eye care offices, contracted with large insurers and small independent practice associations, assisted manufacturers in marketing decisions relative to new products, worked with public relations firms needing ‘inside’ expertise for developing their programs, provided online and telephone consulting to doctors, staff and industry representatives, written hundreds of articles regarding eye care topics, created an email newsletter and an online workshop regarding challenges relative to medical records.
Dr. Charles Brownlow, Founder, PMI, LLC
Dr. Brownlow practiced general optometry for nearly twenty years before being hired as the executive vice president of the Wisconsin Optometric Association. In 1994, he assumed the management of the association’s counseling service to assist doctors with challenges related to dealing with insurance companies, and therein lies a tail. Doctors and staff in other states soon recognized the importance of such counsel, and Dr. Brownlow soon was called to offices, board rooms, and lecture halls across the country.
 Chuck is a frequent presenter at eye care meetings, large and small, and a regular contributor to state and national publications serving the eye care industry. He also authors ForeSight 20/15, the monthly email newsletter created and distributed by PMI, where, in his readers get their answers through his "Ask Dr. Chuck" column. Readership is approaching 1,000 subscribers this year.
Dr. Brownlow has been an active volunteer in eye care organizations throughout his career and has also kept busy with his church and service organizations in his home community in Wisconsin. Chuck has been married to Sheryl since 1970 and is very proud of his two adult children, Rebecca and Andrew. |
